Let's Get Caught Up!
 "WHERE HAS TIME GONE?!" it's a ~Catching Up On CR~ post The last couple months have sorta sucked for RP motivation. Lots of plans have fallen by the wayside as people's schedules got sucker punched. So here's a helpful post so we can figure out what our characters have been doing the last little while, and to help us in making plans for launching into May with new CR goals! Has your character started any new projects in recent months? Accidentally created a fleet of murder roombas? Invented a new form of super sticky marshmallow fluff? Started a reindire racing circuit? Leonard Snart

CHARACTER: Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold of DCTV's Flash/Legends of Tomorrow
The Rap Sheet:
Len arrived at the colony with his ex-partner Mick/Chronos, which meant his first move was to make himself scarce because Mick was out for his blood.
After days of being bored, he couldn't resist the temptation of exploring the underground laboratory, where he met potential friend/ally/accomplice Jacob, busted into a room, and stole a metric f*ckton of mysterious crystals before narrowly escaping Mick after a very wet battle, and wouldn't have made it out without Jacob's help... who Len also conned into helping him bring Mick to the surface before he drowned, because their relationship is Complicated.
After creeping around in the ventilation system and stealing food while resting up from said scuffle, he got into another another fight with Kabal in the kitchen, over a gross abuse of leftovers. After an atomic tuna-surprise bomb was dropped, Kabal's arm was turned into a popsicle, and Len passed out face-first into what was left of the fridge, he wound up at Kabal's place because... no one deserves death by drowning in tuna-surprise.
He fixed Kabal's arm to square up, babied (bullied) him through the night, and because blood, violence, and relentless shit-talking is the stuff of rom-coms, they wound up swapping more than punches.
Projects On The Go:
Surviving. Waiting for the opportunity to start trouble. Possible exploration.
Len's honestly pretty bored all cooped up, and is tentatively exploring the colony while on the lookout for Mick, who he doesn't realize has gone home. When he does find out... that's going to be messy, and he'll probably end up stirring shit.
His only real plans ATM are to potentially go out into the wasteland with Anchor's favourite diva-con, and see if there's anything worth stealing anywhere else.
Relationships:
ATM he's living in relative criminal bliss, in a totally unemotional entirely practical extremely casual arrangement with his new
boyfbuddy.He also has a tentative friend/ally/accomplice in Jacob, who is another mischievous ne'er do well.
Other than that, he's accosted a few people over the network, and made Starscream very uncomfortable, but mostly kept to himself.
CR Aims:
Any and all. Positive. Negative. Whatever.
Len is super smart and actually a good team player when he tries, so finding an outlet for his engineering and electrical to show off his less violent abilities would be great.
I did have a rough idea for Len to steal something moderately valuable/sentimental from every person who will OOCly allow me, and force characters to go on an annoying but not impossible scavenger hunt to retrieve said items while he popcorns. For purely chaotic entertainment purposes.
Also, would be totally down for an entirely dysfunctional/accidental double-date because who doesn't love a good tag-team battle?
Edit: Additionally, always open to any heroes who need to get some heroing out with good ol' hijinks, I don't mind Len getting caught or roughed up so long as it's nothing permanent.

Julie Bastet Cabernet (formerly Grigio)
CHARACTER: Julie Grigio (Warm Bodies)
The Rap Sheet: Julie's currently still trying to deal with the emotional impact of her last canon update, which saw her finding her mother as a zombie who would have no chance of surviving if she was able to be cured (due to the unfortunate fact of half her chest being missing). Given that she's found it difficult to make connections in Anchor, and those she does make tend to be taken away, she's withdrawn a great deal and has started to sink back into the somewhat harder and colder person that she was when she was younger.
She lives alone - save for her pet snow dragon and her daemon who has amazingly not abandoned her yet - and her most social activity is spending time up in the agriculture area. Julie is good at farming and still enjoys working with her hands, and is best approched for conversation at times like that.
Physically, she's perfectly fine. Mentally, she's currently a glass cannon waiting to go off.
Projects On The Go: As noted above she spends a lot of time on the agricultural level, but otherwise she'll be in the bar or just dotting around trying to find something to while the hours away. Julie has found it very hard to get settled into Anchor and hasn't put down anything resembling roots either in the setting or with her fellow captives.
Relationships: Not gonna lie - absolutely no one at this point. I need to change that!
CR Aims: This girl's life is tragic and I need her to get some friends, or at least people who could turn into friends. I don't even mind if it's someone she can start off fighting with but she needs somebody she can lean on.

Poison
CHARACTER: Poison (Poison)
The Rap Sheet: Poison came in on the back of being in two different horror games and has found being in Anchor fairly easy in comparison. She's come up against a few things that have frightened her, but the combination of her life experiences so far have produced a rather unshakeable person despite only being in her late teens. Once you've died a few times there aren't many things that can rattle you anymore.
She lives with Peter Parker, who is also her boyfriend and someone she absolutely adores. Poison has a tendency to get herself into things she probably shouldn't and has been spending her time squeezing into small and unstable spaces, exploring the air vents with Peter and learning more about tech/mechanic tinkering from anyone who is patient enough to teach her.
She has a daemon in the form of a black crow, and two cats (one regular, one eight-legged) which follow her most places she goes.
Projects On The Go: Poison dips her hands into absolutely everything. If you're working on something that looks interesting she will be there asking about it, and she spends a lot of time learning anything she possibly can about the technology in Anchor and how to operate it. She's grown very adept at tinkering with the robots roaming the place and has been trying to build one of her own with salvaged parts.
Relationships: Usually hanging around her bff/bf Peter Parker, but will also gravitate towards Carlisle when he's around and likes to spend time with Genji as well. Poison isn't what most people would call friendly on first encounter and tends to give the impression that your presence in her space is bothering her, but it doesn't take her too long to warm up if she sees you're genuine.
CR Aims: Friendships, for sure, and not gonna lie I'd love some kind of parent-type figure for her. I'm going to be tossing her into the exploration plot because there's no way she wouldn't be sticking her nose into it.

Scaramouche
CHARACTER: Scaramouche (Samurai Jack)
The Rap Sheet: Scaramouche is fine and dandy! Just kidding; behind the smiles and cheer and singing to himself, he's getting antsier by the day. For a bot who never stayed in one place for longer than half a week on Earth, this is far too long to be cooped up in one tiny colony. He's bored.
He doesn't have a room and probably never will.
Projects On The Go: Patrolling. Almost always patrolling so he can be the first to A) know if anything about their situation changes, and/or B) detect any intruders/threats/whatever, plus he just prefers to be on his feet. He goes to the bar every now and then to rest for about an hour-ish or less, dropping by at random times of the day or night when he feels like it because he prefers to maintain an unpredictable schedule for the aforementioned reasons. Since the day the beanstalk appeared, he's been seeking progress reports from Peter about where they're at RE: city expedition preparations. His trysts with Elleru are a more recent thing; he knows he needs to keep his guard up because he isn't giving up hope that his patrols will pick something up someday (and what else is he supposed to do??? he can't travel outside for long periods of time and he definitely can't leave the colony to explore the rest of the planet's surface, especially not with the existing modes of transportation), but he's been relaxing a little more lately after so many months of disappointing results.
Relationships: Before getting stuck in Anchor, Scaramouche never made more than fleeting connections, in part due to being on the road all the time, so a lot of his CR in-game are firsts for him, or at least have the potential to be firsts! Three notable mentions:
- Elleru is his favorite person in the colony, hands down; she's the only person he's ever trusted besides himself and he doesn't realize it yet, despite the fact he has literally powered down when they've been alone together. He'll never be in love with someone other than himself, he isn't capable of it, but this is the closest one can possibly get to him. He soft.
- He pals around with (read: pesters) Peter on the regular, kind of like an annoying 7'7" robo-pup, and Peter just, puts up with it? What a guy.
- Kabal is a mercenary he finds sort of entertaining--sometimes. He can make himself useful when he puts his mind to it. One of the only residents Scaramouche has shown parts of his villainous side to.
CR Aims: I'm hoping his current CR deepens further and of course, I'm always open to new CR! If you have something specific in mind, hmu! o7
I have a vague will-I-won't-I idea for him to sustain damage while defending the camp/exploring the city during the expedition because he'll inevitably get cocky, and it could lead to some interesting CR development. Something to knock down his ego a notch (at least for a little while) and to force him into a situation where he feels physically vulnerable in other people's company.

Qubit
Status: Qubit is still living out of his lab because of course he is. He neither has nor wants roommates. His physical health is fine. Emotional health..... less so, as always, lol. Some things are in limbo pending finishing up older threads. HEY GUYS WHO WANTS TO BOOMERANG SOME ANCIENT THINGS...
Oh and for this month's plot I'm pretty sure he and Peter are both ending up with amnesia, so........ does anybody else know how to use a wrench? :)
Projects: Qubit's always working on something, and 99% of the time that something is tech-related. So he still does a lot of maintenance where he can, and he's been trying to learn the ins and outs of Anchor's mishmash of alien tech bullshit while he's at it, with... some success.

Obviously this is still in the idea phase, and the intention wouldn't be to restore his powers to 100%, just to hamstring him slightly less. And I think some fun stuff could be done with it - for instance, I'm pretty sure he'd be open to the idea of involving magic in the process.
Relationships:
CR Aims: The main thing Qubit needs at the moment CR-wise is to get back out there and get to know people. Partly cause he needs friends and stuff, but also because he wants to know at least basically who everybody is, and what they're capable of, and whether he should consider them a threat. Plus he needs to improve his reputation and get people to trust him so he can help them more effectively. I may have him start doing updates on the network every so often, just so he's like... more visible? Idk I'm not actually sure what he'd update people about but maybe he can do emergency announcements when horrible monsters are coming out of the basement or whatever.
I'd like to work on developing some of his less-close CR, expanding who he knows, etc. I'm especially interested in diverse perspectives - he tends to gravitate toward smart people and assholes, but he needs to interact with people outside that bubble to keep himself grounded, help him notice things he's overlooked, etc.
In terms of future plots, I'm most interested in ones where Life Gets Difficult. I mean Anchor does have its disasters and monster attacks and all, but baseline survival has been relatively easy. Like... as far as I know, food production has been high enough that nobody's really had to inventory or ration it in a systematic way, and I think it could be interesting if something happened to the stockpile and suddenly it was a Problem. Things like that. (Though obviously given all the shit going down IRL I can understand if that's not as appetizing for folks.)
Honestly, the thing I like most about Redshift is the way residents can step up and take ownership of their situation, and have to organize and work together to survive. There's been some IC talk of, say, formalized leadership, or an official security team, or some kind of census, and I think we should take that idea and run with it. It'll be cool to see the loosely associated free-for-all evolve into a more cohesive community.

Ami
The Rap Sheet: Ami's still living in Double 016 by herself. She's not looking for a roommate, but if a good fit came along she wouldn't be averse to it. She hasn't done a ton to customize the place, but there's probably some posters and merch from Martian Hot Topic now. She's also been able to dress a lot more gothy over the past few months, which is nice since she's also outgrown a bunch of her old wardrobe.
Physically she's doing fine, apart from the whole puberty thing. She's recently finished out her growth spurt at 5'7", and she's starting to fill out a bit as well, so she's becoming less "tiny goth girl" and more "normal sized goth young lady." As of the fancy dress ball in late April, she will also have regained Aradia's horns and copious amounts of curly hair. Feel free to check her first impressions post anytime for up-to-date info on her appearance.
Emotionally... she's not doing terrific. Although her greatest existential fear ("Who am I becoming, and will there be anything left of me?") has been firmly assuaged for some time, she still has several more in need of answers, in addition to your more typical jamjar fears and teenage insecurities. A few of the people she was closest to in Anchor suddenly disappeared in quick succession, too, which is kind of a double whammy, since she's both sad about them and has fewer emotional outlets. And her main coping mechanism is to put on a brave face and stay optimistic for everybody else's sake, so. In reality, she's starting to struggle with some depression again - friends may have started to notice she's been slowly withdrawing over the last couple months.
Since she's been here like 9 months, by now she's picked up the basics of several essential skills, mostly through osmosis and the odd jobs she's been doing semi-regularly. She knows a little about cooking, cleaning, gardening, animal handling, fishing, and library management. She's gotten quite good at the Dewey Decimal System and can even maintain a card catalog! She hasn't picked up any new science or technology, though, that stuff is all way over her head.
Projects On The Go: Her main occupation consists of odd jobs - she regularly helps Cho with meal prep and cleanup, but otherwise will sometimes just show up in various locations looking for things she can help with. A lot of the time this is in the Agricultural Zone, so if you hang out there a lot you've probably seen her. She likes to keep the horses company.
She's also acting as Interim Chief Librarian (a title she gave herself), though I think the bulk of the actual cataloguing is probably done by now? So now this mostly entails trying to keep track of checked-out books, though since she's not there all the time it's probably more like a guestbook and the honor system.
For fun, she's been doing a lot of reading in the park, or playing video games at the VR zone. If you want to handwave having run into her, just lmk.
Relationships: Peter, Poison, and Pratt have been the ones she's closest to (who are still here). I've been meaning to have her do more with Elleru, Genji, Julie, etc but I've kinda severely dropped the ball there, sorry.
CR Aims: Bro I am down for anything and everything pretty much. The stuff I said for Qubit pretty much applies to her as well, just for different reasons. She's an extrovert and she needs friends, especially ones she can goof around with, but I also like when she makes unlikely friends/allies. She's a nice person who gravitates toward nice people and there's a few people in Anchor she's kind of scared of, but I'd like her to have to interact with those people too, because comfort zones are for losers.

CHARACTER: Rey (Original character).
The Rap Sheet: Currently living in a room with her mutant cat Tripod and Elleru, after realizing that hairless animals (and big birb monsters) don't fair well in cold weather during December. Rey has been more or less inside her own head, which Elleru has been helping her get out of via smooches and cuddles, but it's definitely a Work In Progress.
Rey is also working on how to access areas that are locked out to them, of which she's made some headway in the medbay - thanks to Elleru befriending the robots for her, she's able to get a hold of expanded healing gel and other medical tech (which will probably be useful in the future).
Projects On The Go: Right now, she's just... hm. It's complicated. Other than her working on opening up doors as mentioned above, she gets caught in her own head a lot that she doesn't pay much attention to the passage of time, which is a Problem.
She'd also been working on digging out whatever materials she could find in the library + see if they could get the vehicles they've got to make a round trip to the horizon city. Otherwise I'm just flying by the seat of my pants here.
Relationships: Right now her main close CR is Elleru (does Tripod count, too?). She's got some passing CR with others like Angel, Connor, Finnick, Peter, etc but nothing too serious.
CR Aims: Honestly I'd just like for Rey to develop some close personal CR, ones that develop character relationships than anything to do with plot/setting stuff happening at that time. :\

Carlisle Longinmouth
The Rap Sheet: Being what basically amounts to an accidental necromancer and despising every second of it, he's had a hard time accepting his state of undeath and all that entails, especially when it comes to making connections with people. He's well aware his particular combination of abilities can be real dangerous for the living, so he tends to keep to himself in his room in Quad 004. With Kieran's disappearance, he'll be moving into the Agricultural area, living at the Barn. Let's be real: he'll never learn to not be a danger to the living if he doesn't actually engage with them in any way. A history of avoiding his problems hasn't gotten him anywhere thus far, so it's time to start taking steps in the other direction.
Projects On The Go: He's currently working with Qubit on a way to help mitigate his powers, particularly those related to magical compulsion, as well as maybe teaching the guy a little about magic (because clearly, Qubit needed one more power in his arsenal). He'll be taking places in the exploration plot, going along to make sure his BFF Qubit stays safe (and also it turns out Kabal is going, and he needs his lackey to help him
rot through wallscarry stuff). Aside from that, he's going to be learning to take care of the barn animals because someone has to. Kieran hugged him, and now he's gone, so clearly, he was a victim of the misfortune Carlisle's curse is said to bring, and thusly it's his responsibility to handle the animals. That is a completely logical and reasonable assumption.Relationships: He's most often by himself, but he is "I dare not actually say the F word for fear they'll disappear like Reynir and Kieran" with Qubit and Poison. He's on good terms with Pratt, Jacob, and a few others, and is an unwitting companion to Kabal, who understands him in a way that only people who have been dead before can. He hates that.
CR Aims: I'd like to get him more friends! Some people who might be a little unsure were they to find out just what he is and what that entails would be rad, but he'll take what he can get. He's the sort who will absolutely stagnate if not given a push in the right direction, and sometimes, that requires tough love.
I'd also like more negative CR for him! One of these days, he's definitely going to have to mind-control some folks so he can actually address his control issues with that rather than just his necromancy ones, but that's down the line! I'll be watching future events for sure. :>
OTHER?: I've got nothing! He's been a blast so far, and I absolutely love this game.
